i believe this is not the case and the reguar catholic church goers do not expect and open dialog about topics which are controversial. It is all about educating priests and the church, how to address topics, how to offer their ears for whatever dialog, however unpleasant and be open to discuss even if there are no clear answers....Thats what god offer us as well.
